The Board of Directors of the St. Marys United Methodist Church Foundation, Inc. approved grants for the Spring 2010 Grant Cycle.  Grants totaling $749,475 were made to the following 10 charitable organizations the week of June 7, 2010.

A $35,000 grant to Camden County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)(www.casacamden.org)

A $75,000 grant to Wesley Community Centers of Savannah, Inc. (www.wesleyctrs-savh.org)

A $75,000 grant to the College of Coastal Georgia (www.ccga.edu)

A $57,575 grant to Glynn Community Crisis Center / Amity House (www.amityhouse-gccc.com)

A $25,000 grant to the STAR Foundation (www.starfoundation.org)

A $75,000 grant to Wesley Glen Ministries (www.wesleyglenministries.com)

A $20,000 grant to the Gathering Place (www.thegp.org)

A $50,000 grant to Habitat for Humanity – Glynn County (www.habitatglynncounty.org)

A $320,000 grant to Church World Service (www.churchworldservice.org)

A $65,000 grant to Coastal Medical Access Project (CMAP) (www.cmapga.org)

A $50,000 challenge grant to America’s Second Harvest Food Bank of Coastal Georgia (www.helpendhunger.org)

A $38,554 grant to Communities in Schools of Glynn County (www.cisofglynncounty.org)

A $38,000 partial challenge grant to the Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy (www.ferstfoundation.org)

A $65,000 grant to the Coastal Counseling Center (www.coastalcounselingcenter.org)

A $25,000 challenge grant to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (www.secgafca.org)

Important Dates to Remember

Proposal Deadlines:  Proposals must be received by December 1st for Spring Grant Cycles and June 1st for Fall Grant Cycles.  Click here for eligibility information.

Application Due Dates:  Proposals selected for further review will be sent applications.  These applications would be due February 1st for Spring Grant Cycles and August 1st for Fall Grant Cycles.

Grant Status Report Due Dates:  Applicants receiving funds are required to submit written progress reports by December 15th and June 15th of each year in a format provided by the Foundation.  In addition, a final report must be provided upon completion of the project.
